                                            By Sal Follo

  • The Hobey Baker High School Character Award was again a huge success. We had every program submit a player. And we also had 95 per cent of programs submit their all state ballots. I am very happy to see that our coaches did take care of these 2 important things during these trying times.

  • Our Senior Allstar Games and Junior Select games were a success after a 2 year absents. One suggestion is that coaches really need to communicate to your players about the tryout and games.

  • The All State Dinner was a good turn out with 250 total attended including players. Our guest speaker was Kyle Wallack, head coach of Albertus Magnus College did a great job. All players received all state certificate, trophy and a tee shirt donated by Sports Plus (Bob Chancio).

  • At our final CIAC Ice Hockey Committee meeting for the season, all divisions will remain the same for the upcoming season.

  • The date for nexts years all state hockey dinner will be tentatively on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at 1:00pm @Aqua Turf in Southington.

  • If there are any coaching changes or additions or deletions, please let me know so I can update my list.

  • If there are any coaches that would like to help out in all the things that we do for next season, get in contact with me

  • And finally everyone, have a great summer.
