Assistant Coach of the Year

The CHSCA sponsors an Assistant Coach of the Year award.  The success of any program is truly dependent upon the assistants that help us each and every day.  The CHSCA looks to recognize those assistant coaches that fulfill this role in your program.  If you have a long tenured assistant coach that has been with your program and coaching with you for a number of years, please consider nominating them for this award.  Please fill out the form below.

CT Senior-All Star Game Nominations are up and running

To all Head Coaches and Athletic Directors:

The CHSCA Senior All-Star Game nomination process is open and will remain open until Thursday, October 27th. The Game will be played on Monday, November 21st at a site to be determined (usually central to the state). In order to nominate one of their athletes to be considered for the game, the head coach must:

CHSCA Girls' Volleyball Senior All Star Game Information

  • Be a member of the CHSCA

  • Nominate their Athlete through their Team Page on MaxPreps (every school and team has their own individual team page). Note: If you don’t have access or your AD hasn’t provided to you, you can set up your access here: www.support.maxpreps.com​

  • Match-by-Match statistics must be entered into MaxPreps.

  • ​Seasons-to-date stats are not acceptable.

  • Athlete must have played in 2/3rds of all sets played by the team.

  • Athlete must be in their senior year of high school.

This is the same process that has been in place in Connecticut for a number of years and is used by other states. If you have any questions regarding the game and selection process, you can reach out directly to Victor Rivera, Senior All-Star Game Chair, at coachrivera@snet.net

CHSCA Girls' Volleyball All-State Banquet

We will present all winners their awards on November 29th. We need to have the players present at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington for PICTURES NO LATER THAN 6:00 PM ON NOVEMBER 29. Pictures will be taken in dress clothes, not uniforms. Dinner, hosted by the CHSCA will be held immediately following the picture taking session. All players should remain for a meal and awards presentation. The players are the guests of the CHSCA.

Please take notice that NO tickets for the banquet will be sold at the door. All tickets must be paid for PRIOR to that evening.

Anyone wishing to purchase a ticket for the November 29 th dinner at the Aqua Turf can purchase them directly on-line at: www.chsca.org, under info/events and “buy banquet tickets” or
